    The constitution thankfully limits the power of the federal government.  The Congress must promoted the general welfare within the constraints placed on it by the constitution.  This is the great blessing of our republic that the federal government is not unrestrained.

    That being said, I do not support the public option because it is unconstitutional (though there are some versions floating around which I think are unconstitutional); I do not support it because I believe it is wasteful and political grandstanding.  The answer is already in place: Medicare and Medicaid. Eligibility for both programs need to be expanded.  The U.S. does not need another government agency regulating a new program, when the agency and the programs already exist.

      They claim this is too hard.  BS, you are right. The model is already there Medicare and maybe Medicaid although that would have to be drastically overhauled.  Just expand what we already have.  It can't be that fucking hard.
