    The coal extracted from the Appalachians is high sulfur and cannot be burned without major pollution. Enforcement of existing clean air standards would prohibit the use of this coal in older coal-fired plants. If prevented from being used locally, then Massey and other toxic destroyers will sell the products on the foreign market.  Time to tax the snot out of Appalachian coal extraction and use, enforce clean air standards, require solar panels on all new construction, and provide strong incentives for wind. The coal industry must be killed.
