    Station. Things did improve over time, but in the early 90s it was a interesting place, and I don't mean that in the good way. I'd be outside on say a Saturday and you'd see a family pushing a stroller from Union Station. Trash everywhere. People passed out on the sidewalk. Rundown homes.

    They'd see me and I could see the fear in their eyes. And they'd ask, "where is the National Children's Museum?" One block up.

    It always made me very sad people were scared to me a few block from the Capital and scared to their safety.
