    I suppose this falls under the heading of "in the land of the blind a one-eyed man is king."

    I like Ronnie. And I appreciate Ronnie.  But he has never held anything higher than a county office. There are 254 (I think) counties in Texas. Whoever is the Democratic nominee is going to get the Travis County (Austin) vote. So it really is a dis-advantage being from Austin -- there is no other base of support he has cultivated. And, if Delay isn't convicted, ultimately, he will have the distinction of having indicted both Kay Bailey Hutchinson and Delay and having failed to get a conviction on either.

    He is a yellow-dog democratic hero, but we need more than the yellow-dog vote.  

    So, a good development, but not a game changer.
