about that. this non-performance will remain festooned to a centralizing meme for at least four more years. it will be used as proof for DC elites that Obama has "joined the club" of chief executives - and we will continue to get ulcers.

i imagine bushco lawyers will have to face prosecution eventually, and the principals may be called to account in about 6-7 years - for campaign 2016 fodd3r - but there is now too much waste to shovel out of the zoo that bushco left behind. when holder starts to look as dumb as palin (ALSO) and all other rationale is lost - when our country starts to turn around economically, and when we are safer - then we'll see movement on this and only if there is bottom-up fuel for it.

In the meantime, you're one of the very best shiny tools in the dKos woodshed, and your diaries are the very keenest and most substantive that bloggerville has to offer DC wonks. It was great to have been associated with you on DR.

Healthcare (& publicly financed elections with spending caps) are the dead weight anchor around the neck of job recovery. If these get done right, the other $$$ cards will fall into place. I am not too sanguine. DC wants us broke and willing to do cheap low-paying jobs and they just don't see campaign money coming in from anywhere else. They don't want to be unable to run for their tenured offices. it's a swamp. and it stinks.

They ignored us. Then they laughed at us. Then they fought us. Then - on July 2nd 2009 - we won! [ht: Mohandas K. Gandhi]
