I think that that happened to me with commercial paper (which was funny, because the great Bar/Bri lecturer on Crim Law, USC's Charles Whitebread (whose pearl of advice was "be glib"), had mentioned that he had been blindsided by a commercial paper question as well, so I should have been forewarned.

When that happens, you fake it.  Dump out everything you know about it, even if it's from teevee.  "Temporary restraining orders are obtained by a court for exigent situations."  There's a point.  "They prevent the worsening of an asserted harm that would occur in the absence of a TRO."  "They can be supplanted by a permanent injunction."  Anything.

I'm glad you got away with it, but the only way I'd turn in a totally blank essay is if my pen burst into fire in my right hand, I burned my left hand stamping the fire out, and I had my head in a brace so that I couldn't hold my replacement pen between my teeth and write with it.  LEARN TO FAKE IT!  This is also good professional training!

They tortured people to get false confessions to fraudulently justify invasion of Iraq.
