    but I believe that inequity is as important (actually more important). We don't know how many people the Earth can feed, as long as big agribusiness, mining companies, etc.. keep taking land away from communities we will continue to have hunger.

      of great evil, and cause of more evil. Inequity ewxisted in times when the population of Earth was tiny compared to today.Everyone starves if everything is eaten up.

      We know that we now have overpopulated the globe.

      Big agribusiness and big mining exist to support the too-large population and with respect to mining, these are finite resources.

      The sustainable population will be far lower than the billions we currently have.

      Reducing family size is linked to levels of female education and improvement in living standards. Short term solutions would be akin to China's one-child policy, but longterm goals should involve female education.

      Every day's another chance to stick it to The Man. - dls.
