    When I first registered to vote, it was 2004, my first election, and I registered Green.

    As soon it was clear that the Green Party was rife with factionalism and hemorrhaging any last scrap of relevancy (this was in the aftermath of David Cobb's disastrous run for the Presidency, if you can say he ran), I ditched 'em.

    Then, I registered as a member of the Peace and Freedom Party, wannabe radical I was. As soon as I received and read a copy of the party's paper, I quickly jumped ship.

    Then, for the next two years, I was an independent (Decline To State in California). I generally supported local Democrats, though.

    After the election of Barack Obama, I decided to eventually give up the ghost and register as a Democrat, and I've thus been registered as such since March (Arnold's latest batch of Special Favors provided a good excuse for so doing).
