want to see a Democratic Party that is accountable to the people, not to corporate executives.  There are some here who are interested in change and reform -- not simply electing more Democrats just for the sake of electing more Democrats as you appear to be.

The Enemies Within: Time to make an example of Republican-enabling "Democrats" Evan Bayh, Ben Nelson, and Mary Landrieu -- by defeating them.

    •  The only way to get change and reform... (0+ / 0-)

is to elect more Democrats in lieu of RW Republicans...anyone who says there is no difference between blue dog Democrats and their RW counterpart is not reality based...

I want reform...throwing out blue-dogs to replace them with RW Republicans will not bring reform...strategically primarying Democrats who are more conservative then their congressional district (like Al Wynn) is the way to make the Democratic caucus and congress more progressive...not by throwing the DINOs out.../peace...

If we make an example out of a couple of blue dogs, we will break their power and the rest will suddenly see the light and start voting with their caucus instead of doing the bidding of their corporate sponsors.  If we work to take out Evan Bayh in his next election, we will likely have a Republican with a nearly-identical voting record in that seat -- but a stunned Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu will be keeping their heads down, keeping their fucking mouths shut, and completely rethinking their right-wing, corporatist positioning.

It's a shame to lose a couple of seats, but call it a short-term loss for a long-term gain.

Peace to you as well.  We disagree on tactics, but I do believe we share a common long-term goal.

        •  Reality based please... (0+ / 0-)

the worst blue-dog voting record is not anywhere near the voting record of the RW Republican who would replace him/her...we may share a common goal but your tactics will absolutely be counter-productive...

But Michael Steele will thank you...

          •  YOUR tactics will be counterproductive (0+ / 0-)

Democrats must be held accountable, or we will end up with a 85-15 Democratic majority in the Senate, and STILL no change or reform, because they will all be too busy sniffing out corporate loot.

They are our employees.  We don't just hire them, give them the keys to the kingdom, and let them do whatever they fucking please.  We hire them, we observe them, we make sure they are doing their jobs.  If they aren't, we take disciplinary action up to and including termination.

            •  Not true... (0+ / 0-)

we already have tremendous change compared to 2005 when Republicans controlled the agenda...they are not your employees...they are the employees of the congressional districts and states they come from...so unless you live in Nebraska...let Nebraskans decide if they want a RW Republican or a Blue Dog Democrat...
