They need to ditch this loser ASAP.   I simply will not watch MSNBC as long as Buchanan is employed by them.   I'm sure it will be a one-man boycott, but I'm going to stick to it.

One thing very disappointing about the whole segment is how Maddow never did correct these idiotic statements by him, and a couple of times allowed him to talk over her.

It's her show, right?   She should take control of it.

I think she made him look more than slightly mad.  And I don't mean angry.

She made a couple of good points, but he talked right over her.   Seriously, watch it again, and tell me if you think Buchanan even heard what she said.

Maddow did a great job, using her own unique style.

I would have yelled at the fuckhead and called him every kind of jerk he really is. But that wouldn't have accomplished anything. Neither would have snide goofery like Colbert or Stewart, much as I love those guys.

No, what Buchanan needed was someone to just listen respectfully-- but not passively-- and encourage him to run on and dig himself in deeper.

She set him up. Skillfully. The guy is a complete dickbag, and he's done with now.

It's not like she didn't know what he would say - he said it less than 24 hours earlier with Tweety, he WROTE IT DOWN for cripes sake.

      What was her big comeback?

      You're dating yourself?

I couldn't believe it and I haven't been able to look at her since.

If she was taking the leap to have him on, there should have been a purpose.
