    All of the schemes documented above are designed to make money in the very short-term.  Front-running cheats a long-term investor out of pennies, perhaps, but cheats a short-term trader out of millions.

    Long-term investing can be fixed in many other ways, of course (CEO looting of companies, for instance), but it often isn't.  Due diligence, everyone.

      offshore markets, another. precious items, gold silver, diamonds, are yet another, but less liquid.

      What we call god is merely a living creature with superior technology & understanding. If their fragile egos demand prayer, they lose that superiority.
