    reveal the contradiction, and rebuild the understandings that existed from the 1930s to the 1970s.

    No matter how bad the material conditions get, until the lock of the neo-libs on people's minds is relinquished, nothing will change.

    That requires having an alternative ideology that's able to step in.

      I think it will take some creativity, some generation of new language that will sidestep having to use the inherited rhetoric of socialism.  The "genius" of the neolibs was all in their framing, what they were really offering were ideas that had been proven failures by the last great depression.  All the originality was confined to language, there was nothing conceptually new at all.
