  •  Actually DiFi isn't up for re-election (6+ / 0-)

till 2012, and it's possible she may retire by then. It's Barbara Boxer who's up for re-election in 2010.

So this is a bit premature.

I don't think it is possible to start to early given what is at stake. There is little that Californians can do about the likes of Ben Nelson ET AL, but we can and should get our own house in order.

And its clear she's already slipping mentally...

If there are any decent Democratic candidates around, one should be able to take her out.

We must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

point is, if there's a primary challenger, she may decide to act like a Democrat. After all, look at what happened to Ellen Tasusher. She might have actually begun representing her districts values before she was tapped for an Administration position...

            as Minerva said; birthdate 6/22/33.

DiFi may be a good example of the Peter Principle, where people rise to their level of incompetence; she was actually a decent Mayor of San Francisco (of course I'm a little biased because she did a lot to save the cable cars, as well as help establish the Historic Trolley Festival which was the forerunner of the current F Market service). She might have been better off as Governor if she hadn't lost to Pete Wilson back in 1990.

            •  Overall, she was an average mayor, and I'm (0+ / 0-)

prejudiced because of her fight with the Mitchell brothers. Even though it was before my porn-career, such as it was, (I was never a porn star, I only had small parts...see, when a male porn performer says "small parts"....never mind) My point is, and I do have one, that DiFi has always put her personal (and financial) goals ahead of what her constituents may want.

She's being evasive on the public option, didn't even consider single payer because, in her world, there are literally no poor people. She's never met any, so they don't exist.

    •  Isn't the world supposed to end in 2012. (0+ / 0-)

Oh, it is after the elections, never mind!

Is it not written "There's a lot goes on we don't get told."? (Lu Tze)
