    I've been trying to get back in shape and lose weight before my wedding (which, it appears, is 30 days away)...so far I'm down about 27lbs since March 19 (when I was a spritely 263).  My strategy has been a combination of things, really.

    First, I'm going to the gym...not every day, but usually three or four days a week.  I try to run with Banjo in the mornings too...just a short 1.4 mile loop, but with lots of elevation change and it's a good morning warm-up.

    Second, I've cut back to one drink a night on most nights.  Alcohol is teh suck for losing weight.

    Third, Cabbage Soup.  I did a 7 day round of cabbage soup diet to get a jump start--it's usually good for about 5-6 lbs. Actually, we(banjosmom and I) have both been doing it and we're on day 2 of our third round.  We've played with the thing though--using different soup recipes, getting more fruits and vegetables to keep it interesting. And it's kind of fun.

    Okay...6:30...time to go run the dog.
