  •  Great reason for starting to think... (0+ / 0-)

We need a strong Democrat speaking up for California.

I know of no other Democrat who has gone through what she has - assuming office because of an assassination, dealing with the White Night riots and being in charge in San Francisco during the AIDS epidemic. She's a lot tougher than people give her credit for

      •  Okay... (9+ / 0-)

But she's still a corporate whore.  I remember when she made that announcement about Harvey Milk and George Moscone.  Broke my heart.  It breaks my heart now to see what a traitor she has become to those ideals.

DiFi is many things but she's certainly no traitor.

She's always been a tool for big business and was strongly opposed to the Milk/Moscone city reforms.

Unfortunately there's really nothing we can do about her - our time and money is better spent helping put progressive candidates in place to take over the seat when she retires.

The things that seem to have impressed you stop back in the 1980s....

I think Diane was very good for SF when things were very bleak.  But I want to read the news and see that a California Senator is leading the charge on issues that need fixing.

Right now the names I see are from tiny back east states.

We're big.  Time to throw our weight around a bit....

She immediately rolled over for downtown developers, helped tear down the I-Hotel, supported the police during the police riot following the 1982 Super Bowl, and was generally a Republican in sheep's clothing.
