No offense to the OFA types who also worked on local elections, but at least in my part of the state, it was "Obama only" for them.  While they kept calling out of state long after the die was cast, we here in California: only picked up three of the needed six Assembly seats: gained NO new Senate seats (we were three short); lost Prop 8, and lost the redistricting initiative.  In my home county, we lost a county supervisor's seat by the slimmest of margins, and with that the balance of power on the Board.  This year's budget protects management bonuses and squeezes services; go figure.

It's time for a hardcore smackdown here in the tarnished state, and make the case to everyone that NOTHING matters as much as getting 2/3 in the Lege and/or changing the rules of the game.  And yes, I include both the governor's mansion and picking up Congressional seats as lesser priorities, although if we do our job with the Lege, we should add those to the win column too.
