  •  Ed will use it (14+ / 0-)

He has been hammering away on the health care issue for weeks.  Last night he grilled a member of Congress (R who is a doctor and health care reform naysayer) relentlessly.  Ed cut him  no slack.  He is awesome and does not suffer hypocrites and liars gladly.

Last night Ed also outed United Health care for its double profits earned at our expense.  He posted the salaries of the top executives.  Ed tells us who is getting what money from the corporate fat cats.

The dude is a true progressive.

If he uses it and I miss it, would someone email me and let me know.

Ed's coming for a night to Portland, OR to do a show on health care and my partner and I are going. I have tickets already arranged. While they are General Admission, they're the best I could get for a sold-out show; there were also $50 apiece VIP tickets available for a little while with special reserved seating and a meet-and-greet with Ed beforehand. I SO wanted to get one of those, but when they were available, we didn't have the funds, so that was the end of that idea. So I'll have to do this in front of the general audience and the cameras, which I was going to do anyway. I just wanted to get his permission beforehand (or at least warn him).

I'm going wearing my Dead Woman Walking t-shirt. I'm going to ask Alene to make me a foldable or even cloth version of my sign. When I get a chance to speak - as I know he's going to take audience questions and comments - I'm going to hike up my shirt to just under my bra line and whip out my catheter on MSNBC, and expose my exit site so people can tell it isn't fake. Let the country see what happens when you can't get health care. It'll be G-rated, but I want to shock people. I want to make them unsettled. I want them to think that this could be them! A woman with a foot-long catheter coming out of her abdomen is a disturbing sight, and that is exactly what I want to do - disturb people into action.

Want to be a living kidney donor? I need one from someone with a bloodtype of B or O. Drop a note at
