I would never consider them to be partisan even if they were a United Health Care subsidiary.  I don't think Lewin is any more partisan than career government workers (and I was one) are to a political party.  The Lewin Group is a well-respected, non-partisan organization, and it doesn't deserve the kind of scorn from this diary.

the Post story indicates that Lewin was bought by UHG in 2007.  They've gone through some soul-searching themselves about the appearance of bias.  They have admitted to spiking a report that Blue Cross didn't like.  Nonetheless, when they testified before a committee, they were far more nuanced than the money quote the GOP is using seems to indicate.

Like always, people should read the article.

    •  How about Baucus getting over $3 million from (0+ / 0-)

health insurance companies? Is that Ok too?

Talk about both conflicts of interest.

      •  Baucus's policies are more progressive ... (0+ / 0-)

... than Obama's.  He favors both the individual and employer mandate, which Barack Obama campaigned against, and taxing employer-provided health benefits, which Barack Obama also campaigned against.
