    We freeze them.  I canned years ago and then one year the lids were bad and I never recovered from that.

      instead of red like ones you buy...

      Perhaps I will freeze, if there is survival. It's a lot less work.

        which is weird.  I don't know if he planted any this year.  Mine were always red and my mom's.

        I like to eat my fresh ones a bit orange, though.

        I also like the Canary Bell peppers that are yellow when they finally ripen.  They taste lemony sort of.

        But blue potatoes!...no and NO.  Golden ones, yes, but blue...yuck!!!

          market one time so that we could look at the language on signs, how things are priced and stuff like that-- and those blue potatoes were there. One of my students, from Colombia, her face just lit up. They used to grow them in her village when she was a child, but she hadn't seen them in years and years. She was so excited.
