  •  My doctor was concerned about MS and she (12+ / 0-)

sent me for an MRI, but the hospital couldn't schedule it.  It seems that my no-one-between-me-and-my-doctor insurance company got between me and my doctor.  They dithered around for a week before granting their approval.  Thankfully the MRI showed nothing of concern, but I know that I'm a marked woman now -- even thought the test says I don't have MS, from here on out, any sort of neurological condition that I may get in years to come will be considered a pre-existing condition.

I'm glad you were able to get your doctor to at least listen to reason.  Next time, tell him to talk to his assistants that work with insurance companies.  He may become an activist on our side!

    •  They're working on it but its been 4 f*ing months (5+ / 0-)

that I've been fighting for appropriate MRI's, one being a view of my thoracic vertibrae that I've never had before in 12 years with MS. (MS can attack the spinal cord and optic nerves as well as more classic attacks on the brain.)

What legacy do you want to leave?
