  •  Good morning Kgirls and Crissie and Krew! (8+ / 0-)

    Dealing with insurance companies is a nightmare for health care providers and families.  And the private companies are much much worse that the current public options.  I simply don't understand how the Repubs can complain a public option will put the government between us and our physicians--the insurance company CEOs are already there.

    Don't believe everything you think.

    •  Something conspicuously absent in the dialogue. (10+ / 0-)

      We hear a lot about "government coming between you and your doctor."  Ironically, I've only heard Ed Schultz note that right now the insurance company stands between you and your doctor.

      We hear a lot about "your company may force you into the government program."  Ironically, I've only heard President Obama - and only once - note that right now your company can force you into another insurance company's program.

      We hear about all of the problems a government program would "create," without ever a mention that we already have those same problems with for-profit insurance companies.

      Good morning! ::huggggggggggs::

      •  I saw a nice political cartoon (5+ / 0-)

        with a big brick wall labeled "Insurance Companies" between someone representing the people and on the other side, an Elephant (guess who) saying "We don't want government coming between you and your doctor."  I think there was a doctor on the Elephant side also.

        When will we ever learn that PROFIT cannot be a part of the equation when endangering people's lives adds to a company's bottom line?--Earicicle

        government would we prefer the Rep whom we elect to stand between us and the doctor or an insurance agent?

        Bureaucrats are just paper-shufflers and file keepers.  It's Congress that sets policy and provides oversight.

        So, why is it that the people we elect are loath to carry out their responsibilities?  Is it too much work?  Perhaps they need to consider whether they're actually qualified and let someone else take a shot.

        Yes, if it doesn't get done this fall, there will have to be another election cycle.  But, nobody should doubt that incompetents are going to be replaced.

        Let's put our Representatives on lay-away.

        How do you tell a predator from a protector? The predator will eat you sooner rather than later.
