    It's raining in St. Louis.  Tonights Cards/Dodgers game may get rained out.  

    Wainright would be pitching for us.

    We like Joe Torre here.  He hit .353 for us in 1971. Managed for 5 years also.

    I grew up with Koufax or Drysdale v. Gibson or Carlton.  Where Willie David or Lou Brock or Maury Wills would steal a run and that was all they needed.

    They tortured people to get false confessions to fraudulently justify our invading Iraq.

      have the same baseball memories.  My Dad was from St. Louis, but I was born and grew up in the LA/Orange County area.

      Whenever I asked my Dad who is favorite team was, he'd say "The Dodgers, except when they play the Cardinals."

      The 60s were a heyday for both his teams!

        Yes, I think we do have the same baseball memories.  I watched Gibson strike out 17 batters agaisnt Detroit in the Series on TV.  I skipped school to watch it.  I was in 7th grade.
