    He faced down lawsuits over that song, re-recorded it to avoid more, visited Hurricane Carter in prison, ran two concerts to raise money for Carter, took endless crap from the media over supporting Carter...

    And now his lyrics are ripped out of context to invert his belief in that man's innocence and fuel the enduring racial hatred that guaranteed Carter could not get a fair trial (as U.S. District Judge H. Lee Sarokin ruled in 1985).

      I was going to include the complete lyrics, but that song is pretty long.

      I didn't know about the details and controversy surrounding Dylan's support of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter and the racial profiling and injustices contained therein.

      Thanks for that information.

      I'm thinking I need to send MSNBC an email stating that I was offended.

      I almost fell off my chair when I heard it that morning.
