  •  Hilarious (8+ / 0-)

Do I think he was born in Hawaii? Yes — if only because the alternative is way too audacious (to use an Obama-ism) to contemplate.

    Not a serious movement.
Acting for a non-serious political party.

    •  LOL at his obsession with (11+ / 0-)

big words.  Anything over two syllables is an "Obama-ism".

It is scarcely possible to conceive of the laws of motion if one looks at them from a tennis ball's point of view. (Brecht)

      •  It just makes me laugh (2+ / 0-)

The difference between what a hack who finds a way to make things worse and a non-hack who is worried about his movement would say is pretty clear.

        Or:

Do I think he was born in Hawaii? No. I know he was born in Hawaii. Because it's a fact and to endulge deranged people who think otherwise is a dangerous to our movement.

William F. Buckley going after the John Birch Society pretty much allowed it to become a serious movement.

I'm overjoyed that the people holding the keys to his kingdom truly are having a defacto debate/referendum over this little historical nugget almost by default because the Right has swung so far Right.

There was no way Rockefeller Repulbicanism would have been replaced as the dominant driving force in the GOP if the forces doing the pushing were seen as crazies. The changes that Rove/Atwaterism as the conscience of a conservative are going to be lasting and hard to divorce from.

I miss being young and catching those little typographical hiccups on the fly as I typed.

The alternative to being born is certainly audacious.

      "Made in China" perhaps.

The most violent element in society is ignorance.
