    In a word: Yushenko.

Sorry, big fan and former resident of Ukraine here.

If you substitute the names (Howard Dean) as (Yushenko) and (Tom Delay) as Yanukovich, you would pretty much get the picture here.

    •  Howard Dean's good (none)
but Delay doesn't go nearly far enough to desribe Yanukovich --- there's simply no comparison in American politics; after all, Yanukovich is funded/supported by Putin -- we don't have foreign interference here --it's against our national sovereingty and election laws.

If Yanukovich does win this -- as a 1st Gen Uke, I'm praying he doesn't -- he'll be Putin's puppet -- again, not applicable to our politics.

      •  I forgot to ask (none)
where did you live in Ukraine??

I've been to Kiev, and in western Ukr., my mom's hometown, Lviv; Dad's Ternopil, and a few smaller towns.

        •  True, you can't compare... (none)
I mean in the former USSR you can still do what Cheney and Delay can only dream about. And it was worse!

Personal note by way of reply to PhillyGal, I have lived in a lot of places in the former USSR and Eastern Europe including St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kyiv and spent a lot of time in Odessa and Bucharest.
