      Had to fight almost three years to get SSDI(two rejections, then had to wait forever for a court date). I went through insurance hell while waiting for it because some pea-brained medical folks at SSA decided that since I was still young(only 43 when I ended up in the hospital with respiratory failure) and that carting around supplemental oxygen didn't preclude me from operating machinery in a factory......twice <_< When I showed those letters to the lawyer I had to get, he laughed his ass off.</p>

      I finally became elligable for Medicare late last year.......only bad thing about it is the prescription drug benefit with its frakking "donut hole", but at least I can choose my own plan and I can change it if I want to every year
