  •  You could always go on TV. (8+ / 0-)

And do a call-in show.  A squad of call-screeners (first check - caller ID to make sure the caller is at least in the Western NY area code) would have a much easier time of it than a cadre of rent-a-cops trying to keep a belligerent mob at bay.

And if it's on TV, everybody gets to participate, or at least watch.  And the program can be rerun on YouTube.

Half-baked ideas for sale - cheap!

Can't afford the monthly bill for cable. And can't find an acceptable antenna for my non-cable TV. HDTV ripped out my simple TV pleasures.  Byrnt

...does his call in show on broadcast TV -- the ABC owned-and-operated KABC 7 airs it -- on Sunday mornings very soon after This Week. This doesn't happen every week, but roughly monthly.

Maybe that's what Representatives and Senators should do: a call-in show on a local broadcast station to maximize visibility and accessibility. A network could do a call-in show that is offered to affiliates in a given state for Senators. Considering that during the normally dead weekend days the network affils/o-and-os do infomercials almost non-stop this could be shoehorned in between magic bullet and shamwow infomercials.

Then again this could be a job for PBS stations if the for-profit networks balk.

Single Payer Happy Hour, returning to the LA (SFV) area 8/28/09!
Senator Feinstein! You are ON NOTICE.
