    It will go nowhere.

Pre-meditated persecution to claim victimhood and garner favorable press against Democratic supporters of reform.

and I fully expect that the fallout will be similar.

      •  Yes, it does appear (8+ / 0-)

        to be planned.

The Courts will through it out.

I live in St. Louis.  Trashing the meeting did not help the Republicans.  They looked like an unhinged mob on TV.

People care about BBQ's, back to shcool sales, and the Cardinals.  The Republican tactics just make them look like nuts.

Carnahan and Clay will vote the right way on reform and Akin will not.

McCasill will not support a filibuster and Bond, who is retiring proably will.

What happened in St. Louis has no effect on Congressional votes.  Nationwide, it hurts the Rs as bad publicity, a mob run wild.

This is theatre for these white racists.  They are acting out like kids about a black man as president.

Bond probably will vote for a filibuster and McCaskill will not.

No votes will change by any of this.

within a couple hours of the arrest, already hawking his client's side of the story and promising legal action.  That's a bit overzealous, don't you think?

It may be unwise to assume some big conspiracy theory, but it's equally unwise to assume that Gladney was not looking for an opportunity here.

      •  Yes, I;m sure (0+ / 0-)

they are working together to scam both economcially and politcially.

I never assumed that Gladney was not looking for an opportunity here.  From the beginning in this diary I said he was.

I tried to correct people's misunderstandings of St. Louis.

        Reality based matters.

        •  It's one thing to protect the image of your (0+ / 0-)

community. That is fine and helps us to better understand our individual communities.

But, this diary is not an attack on St Louis itself.

My intention is to look at the background and networks involved in this incident. I want to see if we can get a better understanding of how the GOP operatives intend to utilize their networks to distort and disrupt our democratic process.

You went off in the wrong direction with this Tom and, quite frankly, you rather derailed it.
