    won't save the accused.

We saw that with Rodney King, the demonic Negro who was able to force a dozen sobbing cops to beat and kick him against their will.

but the suburbs of St. Louis are a very bad venue.

We need to be careful where we have these meetings so that we can be sure that the police will be evenhanded and the local community is supportive of change.

The County Executive here is black, even though AAs make up only about 20% of the population.  St. Louis County voted for Obama by almost 60%.

The cameras need to be rolling all the time - evidence, evidence, evidence. If the criminal charges aren't there the perps can still be buried in civil suits.

      •  Not ALL suburbs, just certain ones. (2+ / 0-)

Some of the north/central/south central suburbs would be great venues.  Any of the universities would be great.  West County would be hostile but probably not violent.  South County would be my last choice.

I have passed through the area very quickly. Your explanation makes sense out of the divergent claims here.

County being separate entities for all political purposes.  When you see voting #s for the County, those numbers do not include the City, and vice-versa.  And while the County is not as heavily Dem as the City, it still went almost 60% for Obama.  But there are certainly some very, very, very conservative suburbs in the County, just as there are some very very very liberal ones--you can get radically different ideas about the political makeup of the 'burbs depending on what route you take driving through the County!

        •  Russ' district almost runs in a strip from N to S (1+ / 0-)

It covers the Southside and south to Jefferson County.  There isn't much of it in West County.  A bit in the Webster/Glendale area.

            •  It might be in the district or just out of it. (0+ / 0-)

SLU would be nice too but the district falls just short of the Med Campus on Grand.  Russ live in Utah place just down the road on the edge.
