news articles that cover these events, I'm worried that they will fall into a habit of describing the protesters without mentioning their political origins.

The few articles I've seen simply just say "protesters" and not fringe-conservatives or paid operatives.

    •  This was not a town hall. (0+ / 0-)

This was not democracy in action.

This was subversion of democracy. This was mob rule.

There was not one single sentence of intelligible discourse at this meeting.

This is NOT -- NOT -- a victory for us.

This is simply disgusting, and we are absolutely deluding ourselves if we think that for one second anyone is going to look at this or any of the other dozens of similar videos and think anything other than, "Obama has lost control. How can we possible trust him?"

Which is EXACTLY what these people are hoping to accomplish.

Granny, I normally agree with you. Not this time. This is pure Lee Atwater and Karl Rove. We are watching Rovian destruction happening to us once again. I'm afraid we will wake up a month from now and scratch our heads and say, "How in the world did we let this happen? Will we now ever get true health system reform? Is Obama finished?"

      This is insanity.

That's the only response you're offering as a possibility?

        •  Well ok, I exaggerated. Let me rephrase: (0+ / 0-)

We are absolutely deluding ourselves if we think that most people seeing these videos and watching the MSM are going to think anything other than, "Obama has lost control. How can we possible trust him?"

Sorry. I guess I'm a bit frustrated from trying to convince people that we need a change of directions with these town halls -- because they aren't town halls, they aren't democracy in action, they aren't debates, and they aren't discussions. They are barely controlled riots. We are not controlling the narrative -- the goons, or rather their corporate puppetmasters, are controlling the narrative. We are being swiftboated -- again.

          •  Disagree, Obama didn't lose control, he revealed (0+ / 0-)

something that needs to be seen around the world. The only way to re-introduce a feeling of shame among the majority of Americans.
