  •  The "common man" is always led (10+ / 0-)

    By the fat man in the mansion.

    Rush and the Republicans study very well what inflames the wingnuts, and they use the common man as a tool.

    I think one of the best things we could do would be to constantly point out what a hypocrite Limbaugh is with regards to the class issue. He lives in luxury, and implores his troops to oppose a health care system that he would be required to pay for.

      [Limbaugh] lives in luxury, and implores his troops to oppose a health care system that he would be required to pay for.

      I don't think that's quite it, though I think it's very close.  Mr. Limbaugh already pays for health care, and thinks that's why he deserves it.  In 1993, he argued that health care must be rationed because there are more people who need care than there are providers who can offer it, "and in America we ration things by wealth.  If you can afford it, you buy it.  If you can't, you don't get it.  That's the American way."  (This is a rough quote from memory, having heard it 16 years ago.)

      In other words, Mr. Limbaugh can afford health care and thus deserves it ... as a privilege of wealth.  Those of us who can't afford it, don't deserve it.

      Good morning! ::hugggggggggggs::
