    I'd no idea they were committed to spending that much or any advocating for health care.

    Just keeping them out of the equation I thought was worth it.

      If the public option is included in the final reconciled bill, this is great news.

      If it's not, and we have some weakass watered down co-op shit, then the money will be spent so that "reform" can be touted and the can will be kicked another 15 years down the road.

        deal isn't worth much.

        I'd much rather have control over my insurance and access to care than drug prices.


        We can possibly deal with Pharma later.

        to not vote for any bill that doesn't contain a public option. Kerry and Kennedy are certainly in favor of public option. I really hope that people are at least trying to sway those that write legislation and represent them to do what they elected them to do. I can't really judge how much of that is going on, but if history is any portent, I would say no where near enough. I would think the issue of Big Pharma, and price negotiation would take a back seat until the insurance industry is dealt with. I don't think it is wise  to fight both of these massive industries at the same time.
