  •  DEM credit card (none)
I got a solicitation for a Democratic cc some time back. I didn't check which bank was behind it.

There is one called Working Assets that is "blue" as far as I know.  Donations from it go to good causes too.

I've used Working Assets services for about 8 years.  Not only do they donate heavily to good causes, but you get to vote on what progressive causes they donate to.

Their prices are comparable to the competition, but their customer service is light years ahead.  Their grace period for late payment is way longer than other companies.

        Love them.

      •  Working Assests cards are issued by MBNA (none)
Someone in another thread had mentioned that!
        •  this is a recent change (none)
I have a Working Assets card; it was only recently that it switched to MBNA (used to be Fleet, before that it was someone else).

Working Assets gives 10¢ to various charities on every transaction, so I use the card for all the little pissant charges & pay the bill in full every month - expensive stuff gets charged to another card. None of them are particularly PC anyway, once you look at business practices.

I got (another) solicitation today for a Working Assets card. Guess what? It's underwritten by MBNA!

I am about to write to WA, pointing out that the corporate structure and political leanings of MBNA are in direct opposition to WA's stated intent.

Best solution: cut up all the cards. Or as many as you can.

I just saw that as I was about to fill out the application, that really sucks.  Well, scratch that idea, I'm not supporting MBNA.  Thankfully I can say I don't have a single MBNA card.
