    So I'm with you :)

    But the reason the GOP wins is because they've already started campaigning for 2006, 2008, 2012, and onward. And the campaign isn't being done by one candidate in hopes of winning the primaries -- it's being done by the party, so any candidate can simply "plug in" to their marketing machine.

    Our marketing machine sputters into action a few months before the election, when the candidates appear.

    I'm not "campaigning" for Kerry or Edwards, or even Dean (unless you count DNC chair). Right now, I'm pushing the democratic party to reach out, instead of reaching in (to the center, to its inadequate internal machine, to quiet solitude until an election approaches).

    It's not left or right. I actually loved our policies this time around -- way better than Clinton, just for example. It's time to change the voters, not the party. And I don't think they have to change that much, we just need to really speak to them. They're more liberal than they think.
