    Thanks, Bruce, for covering this.

I'll stick around and chat, too, if people want to discuss this further.

response to your book. What has been said in private? You don't have to name names, just give us the flavor of their attitude.

It's been astonishing. Which is why I name-checked NYT and WaPo last night. Some media's been great, Maddow most of all. Bill Maher was great, Jon Stewart was fine, and Rick Matthews at CNN seemed genuinely engaged. Chris Matthews leaned over right before we went live and said, "I don't wanna do any spade work. I'm not sure there's anything here. So you gotta sell it yourself." Ah, well. At least he gave it a hearing.

NPR has been great -- Fresh Air, Diane Rehm, Marketplace, some big regionals.

NBC Nightly News did a segment on the story and the book, thinking they had a scoop -- but nobody touched it, so they dropped it.

NYT? I submitted an op-ed. They rejected it (I published on Salon instead) but asked if they could give it to their national desk for THEM to report out. Huh? Since I didn't, they didn't.

WaPo is a whole story in itself. Unethical, stupid, and in violation of its own rules.

Time did an interview with me, then demanded to fact check it with me -- very unusual. I provided all the documents to their satisfaction, they signed off, done deal, the reporter -- a senior guy -- went home -- and Time killed it, for what the reporter described as "political reasons."

        That's "liberal media"!

your work is fabulous, amazing the news you posted that went under radar - went back through some of your old diaries, saw that you mentioned that Youth With a Mission, the Christian Right organization who I believe you said own C street helped fund "Path to 9/11," suggest you mention that link people remember that.

          thanks for all you do.

        •  Yeah, really "liberal" (0+ / 0-)

I'm not surprised by Tweety, he's like a wind sock, unless it's truly undeniable. And even then he'll get squishy if it makes some of his favorite GOP'ers uncomfortable.
