  •  WTF Does the 2nd Amendment Have To Do With (0+ / 0-)
    a public option?

Why is it just for healthcare access to be guaranteed for those over 65 and those whose income is below a certain amount, but the rest of us have to sink or swim, subject to pre-existing conditions most of which we have no control? Aren't these demarcations arbitrary?

Hey Libertarians and Social Darwinists, why are you subsidizing those who "aren't contributing to society" with their earnings because they are poor and/or retired, and penalizing people who ARE working and ARE paying taxes but who can't get health insurance?

How is this not government-sanctioned, government facilitated discrimination based on age, or location, or income level?

If we don't get a public option so everyone else gets the same breaks as those over 65 or under a certain income level, then we need to just do away with Medicare, Medicaid, and the Veterans Administration, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institutes of Health.  If "socialized medicine" is that bad, then let's stamp it out completely.

To those who don't trust the People to govern themselves: In this country, there is no "higher law" than the Constitution.
