  •  hi RAOR.... (0+ / 0-)

All I can say about this is, for me it's personal.  I've got friends in the intel universe.  Loose lips sink ships, and Novak sunk a ship to score a point.  Bad for him.  People of that ilk do not deserve to be left to rest in peace.

In any case, there's a 50-50 probability (in my belief system, or 100% in yours) that his mind ceased to exist when his brain died, in which case he's not hanging around in some form feeling bad that we're vilifying him.

No doubt you've seen my postings here ranting about those who would make a taboo of this, as if someone in the sky was going to hurl lightning at them over it, or put a curse on them.  I have exactly zero tolerance of taboos and unwritten rules in general, and I think we're both on the same ground about that.

    •  We do agree on taboos, but this isn't about that (0+ / 0-)

as others have tried to point out, it isn't about Novak, who, as you observe, isn't around in the sense of hearing your sentiments.

It is about his family, whose only crime is being related to a guy you don't like.

There is a time and a place for everything under the sun.

Voluntary courtesy is not censorship or bowing to taboos, IMO.

      YMMV.

One day posterity will remember, this strange era, these strange times, when ordinary common honesty was called courage. -- Yevgeny Yevtushenko
