And if you were just kidding, my apologies. But read the other posts here, and you'll quickly see that there is no shortage of people ready to seriously climb on board what you may have jokingly suggested.

And given that you seem to approve of what has been done, you'll forgive me if I assumed the worst?

They want to force me to buy their crappy coverage and they can charge anything they like. That's what they are buying congress for. Waxman's fighting back. GOOD!

You seem to approve of buying and selling legislators. I think legislators should be accountable to the people.

Waxman is playing legal hardball. Good for him.

Funny, I never saw any complaints from the "Center for Competitive Politics" for the Bush administration's actual abuse of power.

        I guess that was different....because.....RUMSFELD!.

Free association as a means of analysis is, umm, interesting.

I think legislators are accountable to the people. They're called elections, we have them every 2, 4, or 6 years depending on the office.

As for Bush administration's abuses of power - we confine ourselves pretty strictly to First Amendment issues, so I'd expect most of whatever you're alleging falls outside of our area. Kind of like complaining to the Humane Society about gas prices - not really their issue...
