  •  at what point does govt implode ? (0+ / 0-)

I'm exaggerating, but only a little.

Congress does not limit powers of the executive branch.

Congress bankrupts the country by continuing to fight unnecessary wars.

Congress further bankrupts the country by bailing out large financial companies.

The next leaders of the executive branch, who effectively have no limits on authority begin to do whatever they want.

This coupled with the fact that the Rethugs in congress will do WHATEVER they want, protocol be damned, is starting to make 10 and 12 look even more important than 08.

And really, a lot of this can be layed at the feet of the democrats, who put up a most spineless effort to halt these problems.

    Something's gotta give, doesn't it ??

    •  Yes something has to give (0+ / 0-)

and I am almost of the opinion the sooner the better.

And if you really want that something to give, the system to crash even more than it already has so it can then be rebuilt, vote Republican.  It gets more tempting every day.

The only thing stopping me is that there is no gauranty that what replaces the governmet of, for, and by corportations will be any better.
