I'd love to hear from some engineers or chemistry majors about the feasibility of some sort of sealed, catalytic electricity maker that emits solid "turds" of carbon we can bury or whatever and not let the carbon loose in the atmosphere...

C'mon, remember, we gotta SHIT-LOAD of coal, somebody needs to get seriously clever about extracting energy from it without wrecking the place, because powerful Republican rich-fucks aren't going to stand by and not make a pile of $$$$ burning it in power plants!

"We gotta head'em off at the pass..."

(And not only THAT, it's hydrocarbon, we can make cool stuff out of it, like plastic objects!)

"Ronald Reagan is DEAD! His policies live on but we're doing something about THAT!"

    •  Where'd you get the idea we have .. (0+ / 0-)

... a shitload of coal? Its not like we have a 200 year supply or anything.

Oh, wait, you probably have been given the impression that we do have a 200 year supply ... well, I guess if we scaled our coal consumption back to the point that we had assured supplies to consume at that rate for 200 years, we would ... I have three months supply of beer in my fridge, as long as I only drink one every three or four weeks.
