effort, as he was during the Bush Administration.  There's a four year long cluster fuck to untangle there.

and very few of Obama's promises to us have come to fruition.  How long do we have to wait to be the "priority" he promised?  How long do we have to wait for the recovery czar that would "report directly to me"?  How long until we can start looking to this administration and say, why hasn't the recovery effort gotten any better since you took office?

Let me give you another example.  Prior to Katrina, New Orleans had Charity Hospital, which, among other things, provided medical care to those who were too poor to have insurance or to afford to pay.  It was severely damaged in Katrina, and it will take at least $500 million to replace it.  The Bush Administration said it would only give us $150 million.  The Obama administration?  Same thing.  There was a request to the Obama administration to use stimulus money for Charity, which was rejected.

I was on a business trip, and got really sick in the head (flying did not help.) Charity was within walking distance of Canal St.
As a walk-in, I went to a non-emergency emergency room. They saw me, I walked around the corner to a drugstore on Canal, and walked back to my hotel room the same morning.  It was wonderful prompt care.
The stories of the fates of Charity and Baptist (now Memorial) Hospital are heartbreaking. How can the government keep a hospital, the hospital, in the heart of the city shut down?

The hospital does not need replacement, the $150 million will cover the rennovation.  The crony developers and contractors want new and there is a land grab on.  We need water management and a rennovated hospital.

Karl Rove in charge of Gulf Coast Recovery.  Why didn't he just flip us off on camera?
