  •  If we're going to win next time (4.00)
The net-roots and the rank-and-file are going to have to be on the same page. We can't have a bunch of pissed off and disappointed activists just like we can't have a bunch of freaked out and scared rank-and-file.
    •  That hasn't happened yet. (4.00)
The profile of people on this site is far from the rank and file judging by the answers to the demographic polls. "Kitchen table"/economic and economic security issues that matter to the rank and file workers and small business people don't get addressed all that often, and seldom in any way relating to programs. So-called "minority" topics seem to get addressed from the "outside". There is an inherent white collar mindset merely from the computer usage. People often seem blind to issues relating to home ownership and financing, currently the leading problem facing the working class. There are many more issues that come to mind that the membership here tends not to deal with, they are "Roosevelt" issues. A review of the New Deal is in order. The "Two Americas" of the Kerner Report so long ago remain in existence. This site often seems a bit blind to that.

        Well said, Rolfyboy6.

      •  Well now (none)
We had this argument all last year and I thought we all agreed now that I was right and all of you were wrong.

        Heh.

        •  You did it in the context (none)
of the primaries and candidates. I'm actually interested in the people working two and three jobs to make their mortgage, keep their kids in school, and keep their jalopy running so they can get to their two and three jobs. I work and have worked with lots of them. One of my friends is in tears right now since her 17 year old is enlisting in the army so he won't be a burden to the family. The Democrats are never going to win with conceptual isues alone. Those don't get the roof reshingled.
        •  Yeah... (none)
But you think that about everything.
