    that during the primaries, he was all in favor of mandates. It was his major reason for supporting Hillary, who wanted them, over Obama, who didn't.

    I love me some Krug, but when he switches positions so completely like this and doesn't admit it, that bothers me a bit.

      there's a public option. And hey, I'm with him on that — mandates mean we can eliminate exclusion of pre-existing conditions.

        And subsidies. Decent subsidies.

        And tough regulations, as in, insurance companies have to honor their contracts. Sign up, pay 'em, get sick, they pay. Period.

        Works in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, et al.

        Of course, the insurance companies aren't allowed to make profits in those countries. They're public utilities, that's all.
