  •  The conclusion is... (4.00)
...the usual conclusion in reports such as this. Truth is being surpressed to protect those in power. Which makes the rest of us less safe.

Of course, we know America is now an empire, or at least Bush's Folly in Iraq should put to rest any doubts. What good is the history of empire if the stories of it's downfall aren't included? Of course, this is the typical one, two, punch of over reaching power tied in with mass deception at home.

The sad thing is, we can see it coming and it isn't doing us any good. It's like knowing the train wreck that's otw, but nobody will listen to you and stop the train. Sure, we could just stand around, let it happen, and then say, "I told you so." Unfortunately, it turns out we're riding that train as well. We either have to get the engineer to stop the train (unlikely), have the people on the train get a new engineer (We just tried that and it failed), or try to de-couple our train car from the rest of the train before it crashes.

OK, I drifted OT enough. Another great installment Booman. BTW, I don't believe in coincidence, at least not the kind that is supposedly "accidental." My tin foil hat is well adjusted.
