    Lewin Group is nominally non-partisan. Are they explicitly aligned with the Republican Party? I don't think they are.  

    What they are not is a disinterested party when it comes to commenting on health insurance, and it's shameful that NPR didn't point that out.

    The ideological tilt of the whole story was pretty blatant: One commentary from a health insurance industry shill, one from the fringe libertarians at the Cato Institute, and one from a university professor who seemed to believe that the concept of health reform was okay.

    Also, note the accounting standard health reform is held to: It may raise the deficit...11 years from now. You hear it with Social Security too: It will be bankrupt...30 years from now! How often do you hear of the long-term deficit implications when it comes to, say, defense spending?
