The Democrats might be beholdent to Wall Street, but the chances for a positive reformation of Wall Street are better than your party having any coherent economic philosophy.

essentially has no coherent anything.  But the core philosophy is what I cling to.  This is more of revolt against the Democrats having turned into Republicans without the direct hatemongering.  I know it sounds like the typical politically uninformed drifter, but both of these parties have done very little to help the poor and middle classes of this country.

I see the Democrats as being well intentioned, but still chained to a system of corporate ownership that forces them to play ball or be drummed out of office.  I don't accept the shrug and the "well, whadaya gonna do?  Our hands are tied" defense, because it demonstrates a lack of leadership and guts that I like to see in a politician.

Now, the Democrats have a (albeit tenuous) supermajority in both chambers and executive, and they've played right along with the Republican core philosophy--defend big business and the war machine at all costs.  Now our health care reform requires the use of air quotes around the word reform.
