      Then Obama ought to be able to accomodate him.  Ultimately, the deficit is legitimately something to be concerned about.  Now is not the time because of the recession, but HCR won't go into effect until 2013 anyway, and taking some meaningful deficit reduction steps in that time-frame is not only doable, it is probably essential.

      As Obama has said every time he's spoken on HCR, the single thing that is going to break the budget is medicare.  Very very soon, if we don't get a grip on health care costs

      Unless and until the fiscal HCR opponents either (i) trot out their brilliant ideas to control health care costs and thus the federal budget or (ii) publicly call for the repeal of medicare,
