    too many charts.

A diary really only allows a single point, one that can be expanded on.  The abundance of charts made this too vast a project to digest, which explains why there are so few comments.

The single important point is that doctors, those who know the system like no outsider can, do support the public option.

    Sometimes less is more.

and Rewrite this story as you see fit. (I won't mind)

Some People ask for me more charts when I put them together,
so you never know. I'm from the school "more is better" -- sometimes,
and since this isn't Twitter ...

This post, was intended to be a Reference Diary,
      "one shop shopping" for:

What the Nation's People and Doctors want,
vs. What "our" Senators want. (a compare and contrast theme)

      Will ever the two, meet?

      (probably not in my lifetime)

      •  Many doctors refuse to deal with insurers (0+ / 0-)

They are sick of the insurers refusing to pay for things they feel are necessary, so they just stop taking insurance. They take checks and credit cards. Period.

Usually they are much better doctors, and they spend the time with you to actually figure your problem out. But they aren't cheap.

The worse the insurance companies (and I'm assuming the public option, since it will be a stronghold of the less is more, bean counting mentality, ) get, the harder it will be to get even marginally acceptable are in the system. So people who need decent care will have to pay for healthcare twice.

Part of it will be in essence, a tribute to the insurance companies for their presence, since they seem to have figured out a way to get out of paying on everything. With age as a proxy for illness, everyone over 40 or 50 will be paying the 500% parents will be paying 200 or 300.ratio, so the prices for them will be astonomical.

Business will send up a howl because people will stop spending.

Single Payer WORKS - It's more than affordable, its quality healthcare for all. That's what they're afraid of! Say No to COERCIVE INSURER BAILOUTS!
