I sent you an email ealier this morning, but I just read your insulting comments in the St. Pter'sburg paper and am writing to you again. You think I don't have a clue about what it will take to get a Public Option?

You know, you blew it. There ae some of us who have extensive education and resumes in health care and have held  multiple jobs in the health care sector. We know our stuff. You haven't been there when I had to tell a mother her daughter's cleft palate was a pre-existing condition! 8 states consider domestiv violence a pre-existing condition! Insurance companies determine what care we receive  according to their profit motive. The U.S. rations care solely based upon our ability to pay for it. California had a 17 year old with insurance die because Cigna refused to authorize the liver transplant. She had an excellent prognosis of 40 healthy years with the transplant. It was denied and your reform bill does nothing to prevent this from happening again.

Senator Nelson, you are the one who's clueless and out of touch with the suffering that you cavalierly ignore in your own back yard as well as the rest of the nation.

Baucus' bill is corporate welfare and it sticks it to the middle class. It has nothing in it to protect the middle class from capricous rises in health insurance premiums. It is one sided and benefits health insurers.

Maybe, you need to get the facts. The BCBS plans used to be co-ops. Most  aren't any longer and the ones that remain cost as much as a policy from Assurant does. Do you really think a MLR of 44% is acceptable? That's what Assurant declared on June 28, 2009. Look at Pfizer with an 84% gross profit.

We're clueless? Senator Nelson, you forgot to look into the mirror this morning.
