      It would be one thing is a marriage boycott (for lack of a better expression) would cause a significant dent in the general population's pocket book.  But, there are a couple problems.  First, you'll never get much support as there are compelling reasons for people to get married (hence the whole push for same sex marriage in the first place).  Second, even if there was a boycott, those would be most affected are those who provide services to marriages - planners, photographers, restaurants/caterers, etc.  Unless those folks are the ones instrumental in the push against SSM, you're hurting the wrong people.
